Our Story

O’Malley’s Oven is rooted in the love of good food, family, and community connections.

After years of navigating the disappointing market of gluten free offerings, Melanie O’Malley took to the kitchen to create delicate and delicious desserts for her celiac family to enjoy. As her fans can attest, what Melanie produces are goods which delight the pallets of all dessert lovers!

Melanie O’Malley was born into a family of creators and builders in Columbia County and has lived in and around the Upper Hudson Valley all of her life. With a theater background, Melanie found her artistic medium in baking. She founded O’Malley’s Oven in 2013.

O’Malley’s Oven offers a wide variety of baked goods, both sweet and savory. With her own struggles to create safe and delicious eats for her gluten free family, Melanie also produces flour blends, cooking classes, and is working on cooking videos so folks can recreate these flavors at home.

Melanie is also supported by a few incredible folks, such as Nick in the kitchen and Ashley at the Troy Farmers Market. Her daughter, Hazel, is also often lending a hand.
